Acer using ColdFusion Flash Form

Before that when I bought my last laptop at acer to download any kind of pdf docs or drivers was really hard task.

The site was really heavy and took user experience ZERO.

Today a friend of mine asked me support to download the right properly the drivers for his notebook and I noticed that Acer re-think again.

Now they have a sweet Coldfusion base application to select appropriate product to download the driver, has a little bug if you select a product and then click on download botton, that’s still throw me in new blank page, but overall that’s good to see acer re-thinking and adopted to ColdFusion Flash Form.

Hey guy’s who did this application please meet Flex. I’d love to see a base Flex version.

Now THAT is how UI should be. Simple, fast elegant.

    Good job Acer!

I just rebuilt an Acer laptop too, and saw their use of Flash Forms too…
…and almost blogged about it too!

I thought it was well done.

With FP9 up to 85%, it’s gotta make a strong case for Flex2 too!

    Hi

It seems they now use asp.net instead of ColdFusion.

    Regards
