SVN Client plug-in for Flex Builder 2 you must install it.

After many consulting using services using CVS to control each part of projects, finally I switched everyone of them to SVN, but a question is “how to allow people that uses cvs and svn if Flex Builder doesn’t have included an SVN Client it self.

So, I’m quite using a lot the SVN Client of Polaration that ’s absolute free of charge and does it supports Flex Builder 2. Once Flex Builder is a eclipse platform I can install any other third-party softwares.

The great advantage of SVN is there lot’s of projects the uses SVN, as3Lib, FlexUnit, Papervision3D. And of course the importance of SVN.

You can download and install the SVN Client from here.

Notice: When you try to install from Flex Builder update Site, you have to de-select the Mystral Integration.
To install from they up-date site go to  Help > Software Updates > Find and Install

Then select from a remote Site and add the link that they provide from version 1.1

I think the best one by far is Subversive

    Did you try Subclipse?

And if so I’m curious why you chose Subversive over Subclipse?

I tried Subversive for awhile and really had no problems with it – but read a few interesting comments about the developers of Subversive which made me switch back to Subclipse.

    See entry #10.

Subversive is very good, as is Subclipse. I personally prefer and use Subclipse. You can’t go wrong with either Subversive or Subclipse.

I tried both and found Subclipse to be better in several ways:

    1) must faster loading large projects
    2) better merge editor
    3) no SSL quirks
    4) more consistent performance
    5) “nicer” development community

Check http://www.barneyb.com/barneyblog/2006/10/26/subclipse-vs-subversive/ for some more details. And make sure you read the comments, as there’s some good information in there that I missed in my original review.

‘Once Flex Builder is a eclipse platform I can install any other third-party softwares’
Does it mean that plugins can be installed to ‘flex builder standalone installer’ or only to ‘flexbuilder Eclipse Plugin’?
