Granite Data Services aims to be an alternative and open-source solution to Adobe Flex 2.0 Data Services for J2EE applications who wants to enjoy the joy of serialization/deserialization with java Objects and Actionscript Object.
But to be the first release of this kind great and usefull tool, they brings one of big intresting things to using with EJB interactions like Sessions and Entity.
The Granite Data Services is released under LGPL license. here’s a list of main features that software brings:
- Full AMF3 supports (some special data types to be implemented). See AMF3.
- EJB3 services with transparent externalization mechanism and lazy initialized ActionScript 3 beans (Entity Beans / Hibernate). See EJB3 Services and Externalizers, Lazy Initialization and Instanciators.
- EJB3 Entity Bean to ActionScript 3 classes code generator (planned). See AS3 Generation.

- A set of Flex components suitable for complex data structures (planned).
