Techcrunch bastards!

Pretty close to in beging of september 2009, a techcrunch writer Sarah Lacy wrote a bad article about us Brazilian and his not well done way to get the visa.
The fact is the problem that happened to her need to get close verification and see what really happened. But what I blame due to is my beloved contry is the way of she put the Flag of a nation in epic-fail due to a little process of getting a visa.
The wrost thing ever is that Michel the owner of site accept her view and still get the flag of Brazil on the article. We know that freedom of speech need to ensure, but not in disrespecting on that manner.
It’s a shame for the guys of Tech Crunch support such initiative of her.

Particular problem of mine happened in 2002,2003,2004 and 2005 when I’ve tried so many times to get a VISA in to USA and never got it so far. By for now I have one in my last tentative to attend to MAX 2008. But for family reasons I couldn’t get part of the MAX.
Even with so many tries I didn’t blame or screw up USA country, due to they have to control kind of it. And I do all respect for the country but blame the guys of Embassy that doesn’t know when someone wants to get a visa to be part of event.

Sarah with no respect you pissed off.

Found this interesting article talking about a 10 types of developers you will find in the field of development.
The only one I didn’t see yet in my career is the Gandalf type. After reading this I feel myself #2.

RIA with Flex and Java using Weborb for Java

What fits better? LCDS? LiveCycle Data Services for real Java enabled logical business and keep you pushing the limits of your RIA?

I got this question earlier this month after my involvement in a medium scale application built-in Flex front and Java on server side.

Doing the right decision requires you as much as needed and comparing a lot of products available in the market and see those features I decided to use WebOrb for Java due to some comparatives that are really awesome.
One of them is the native DTO/DAO code generation and CRUD, which saves a lot of time doing repetitive tasks.

And who did or are doing kind of Application, might knows what I’m talking. The only -2 points of credit for WebOrb is the JMS integration and Datapaging documentation. Not good so far and you have to discover yourself how it works.

Aside this problem the product works smooth in only CPU and uses 20% of PC. Nicely done.

If you wanna to compare with others, I found in my researches at Midnight coders blog a list-base comparation features that let me to test the weborb and see if I could use in the App.

Check out!

Series of Flex Hacks at glance

It’s now 8 hacks with unique content for people who love to hack things. But I’d like suggestions for future hacks and see what my readers would like to read about. I made a little list what we’re planning for the next Hacks series.

- Core Class (We’re hacking things from mx_internal namespace.
- Flex SDK and Compiler ( more 2 unique hacks for both).
- UIControls ( Controls package of Flex 3 SDK has some limitations, we need composition in Flex 3 which will be next Flex 4 adaptation).
-Remoting fast, We’re researching some great open-source projects arround web and found a much more fast Remoting Classes for data comunication, and we did some hacks for theses classes works in Flex 3.2, like response back and collection, render, kind theses fields.

Theses are our research for next hacks and I really enjoy thinking ideas to took us for theses ideas and turn them in real applicable for anyone.

Fore sure I hope a positive feedback.

Flexcoders list and Me

While back in 2006 I was really helping people in flexcoders list at yahoo, but I’ve got to stoped due some appointments at work and lot of things to do, Yeah! that’s why should be, but it wasn’t, the fact is the flexcoders is beging bigger and bigger, the ammount of newbie people and many people crossing the fingers to code in flex is very hard to keep it up to date.

So I stopped and participated in a shine way, because I was depreced due to theses facts of people asking things that already had in the threads or even a google search could solve their problems.

Time has belong and I changed my view about this, many devs attemped to changed that in split the flexcoders in piece but I disagree, they should encorage them to use the threads or google search to reach their goals.

That’s because I’m now back in Flexcoders list to help theses guys that make a very hard effort to keep the flexcoders good, and of course give a gift to Alex Harui that is the Bot behind the scence in flexcoders list. (hehe).

So, my lovely reader that’s a personal view, regarding that I was too slow down in Flex coding and begin more management area. I switch back and I’m pretty happy now in the area I’m prepared for it.

See you on the list.

ScaleNine Skin contest doesn’t like Brazil

That’s a shit, why on a contest that croatia and Hon Kong can participate in a challenge but the 2th large flex community in the world just can’t?!

I would really appreciate if this could be re-think in the terms and conditions. For sure I’d like to hear back from who develop the challenge a explanation on why Brazil can’t participate.

I feel badly about this.

Part of my contribution to the community is help them to grow as developers and bring more new fresh content here or there.
Last month a client of mine who has very strick business model for marketing research called us to create a entire library for them to build survery quick as possible. It’s took me dozens days to develop the library and after I finish up I realize that I could create a new one more light and tiny version of that I did. And the result is bellow:

The Flex 3.0 survey 0.1 library, it’s very alpha and is very simple, not even close what we did. But in case you need to create such survey for your Flex app it should work.

SurLL, intend to get more easy to create UI survery in Flex with no extra work. Quite simple, Lovely solution and should help you to make an extra money, isn’t Jesse?!

A little FAQ is ready to get start. Here’s a example bellow that you can explore in the package.
